1993 provided a number of surprises for Essendon supporters. It all started with the Pre-Season draft when the Bombers selected favourite son and former champion Tim Watson at number 12. That was the beginning of a historic year for the Essendon Football Club. The report card at the end of the 1993 season included – the Premiership Cup, the Fosters Cup, the McClelland Trophy, the Brownlow Medal, the Michael Tuck Medal and the Norm Smith Medal.
