LIONS GO CLEAR, BLUES HIT ROCK BOTTOM

What a heart-stopping round of footy. With the average winning margin of the first five matches on the weekend only six points, there will be a few coaches with jangled nerves this week. The big winners of course were the Lions who move a game clear on top of the ladder. The big loser was clearly Carlton who slipped a game and half adrift on the bottom of the ladder with another crushing defeat at home.
