Q. Dean Rioli spent the second half on the bench with cramp after dominating in the first two quarters. Do you think you will continue to ease him into the mid-field?
A. Well that was his first crack at playing on the ball in the mid-field. We will use him in the mid-field and sparingly at times.
Q. Will Jobe Watson play this week?
A. I am not quite sure to be honest. We will monitor his training this week and we will definitely make some changes.
Q. You said he would have played last week if he had not been injured,,,,
A. He would have been close. Some players played well in the seconds yesterday may be in front of him.
Q. Who else is available?
A. Dustin Fletcher and Paul Barnard will come back into the side.
Q. Will you react to the Brisbane loss and make significant changes?
A. I was really disappointed with our undisciplined play and I thought we could have had more contributors in the team. We will have selection in the next couple of days and make the changes accordingly. Most teams are not going to win up there and I think that Hawthorn lost by close to 100 points this time last year. They are very, very good side and they haven't lost many games in the past two years.
Q. Is it hard to take a form guide out of a game like that because they are such a good side?
A. They lost their two ruckman, but apart from that they probably had their best side in. I think we can get better in general field placements. I think we have probably got a little bit more improvement than them. David Hille played quite a solid game and I think Jordan Bannister and Damian Cupido played well and Danny Jacobs had a good game at full-back.
Q. Was anything wrong with James Hird - was he injured?
A. No he just didn't have a great game. That happens.
Q. Will you consider playing Fletcher at centre half forward?
A. We could and we will definitely consider playing him in the forward line. We need to look at our side and make sure we are supporting Matthew Lloyd, rather than him being the only player to go to. It is hard to match up with Fletcher.
Q. How far off a senior berth is Cory McGrath?
A. He is a similar player to Jason Johnson and Joe Misiti so he just has to wait for his opportunity. The players that have been out of the team have been taller players like Fletcher, Bolton, Henneman and Hunt.
Q. Most teams that play against Brisbane seem to struggle the next week. Does that put you under any pressure?
A. Maybe so but we probably have a day up our sleeves because Melbourne played yesterday. Every match is a different game and they had a pretty close game yesterday against Hawthorn. We will be able to freshen our team up quite well and no doubt Melbourne will do the same.
