Nathan Lovett-Murray today had charges of possessing drugs dropped in court.

Speaking outside of court, general manager of football operations Paul Hamilton welcomed the outcome and said Nathan respects the court’s decision.

""Nathan has said from the start he did not possess any drugs and does not take drugs - today that charge has been withdrawn and his name has been cleared,"" Hamilton said.

""Nathan wants to thank his family, friends and supporters for standing by him during what has been a difficult period.""

Hamilton said the judge praised Lovett-Murray for his considerable community work, especially with Indigenous youths.

""As far as Nathan and the football club are concerned, we now consider this matter resolved and will not be making any further comment,"" he said.
