Matthew Lloyd's big day out against the Eagles yesterday had the stats freaks going wild. Lloyd's 10 was easily his best ever effort against the Eagles - in fact he has only managed 13 goals in total in his previous eight appearances against West Coast. His 10-goal performance also took him to ninth place on the club's all-time goal kicking list Lloyd now has 378 goals, taking his past the 372 mark set by Ted Freyer. Lloyd equalled his best ever single quarter effort booting five goals in the third - a feat he also achieved against Sydney when he kicked 13 goals in round three of season 1999.

Another statistic that might interest people is Kevin Sheedy's coaching record against his old club Richmond. Sheedy has coached the Bombers against Richmond on 35 occasions since 1981 and Essendon has won 26 of those matches, lost eight and tied one. It is an outstanding record.
