You often see great full forwards demolish opposition sides single-handedly. Those days when they run riot and kick a bag full.
Both Paul Salmon and Gary Ablett were players capable of such feats in recent times.
Salmon's height would expose opposition backlines while Ablett's speed and strength made him almost impossible to hold when in full flight.
In the 1993 season, Essendon and Geelong fans were treated to a remarkable game a football - a day when both Salmon and Ablett turned it on for the crowd at the one time.
Salmon kicked 10 goals for the Bombers while Ablett kicked 14 for the Cats - remarkably Essendon won the match.
This Sunday night on the Ormiston Rubber Bomber Radio Show, Paul Salmon will join Steve Layt and Simon Matthews to look back on his career with the Bombers and in particular that 1993 shoot-out.
The show will also feature Paul McNamee, the nephew of Essendon great Dick Reynolds, as the club's celebrity supporter.
McNamee, now chief executive of the Australian Open, will talk about his first recollections of the Bombers and his passion for the club.
He will also give listeners a brief run down on Australian Open preparations and give us his thoughts on controversial tennis sensation Lleyton Hewitt.
Peter Jackson will also join the show to explain to Bomber fans how he the club was able to convince Justin Blumfield to remain at Windy Hill.
For all this and more tune into the Ormiston Rubber Bomber Radio Summer Series on Sport 927 between 6pm and 7pm this Sunday night.
The show is also sponsored by Preston Motors, Schiavello's Office Furniture, Cisco's World of Coffee, James Duffy Hairdressers, the Windy Hill Social Club and Brumby's Bakeries.
