Darren Bewick today announced his retirement, after winning his second premiership medal. He is keen to pursue a career in coaching, and continue his successful involvement in the game.

Whilst Darren, who just turned 33, would have liked to play on in 2001, he is happy to finish his career on a high note and now move into the coaching arena.

He has been one of the great goal-sneaks of the past decade, causing problems for defenders with his pace and freakish goals. He kicked 332 goals in his 238 games with the Bombers.
