Bomber supporters were in high spirits on Sunday at the AGL Picnic at Windy Hill as they counted down to the 2005 season. In the hot Melbourne sunshine, Essendon fans joined in the celebrations at Windy Hill and enjoyed a great family day of entertainment hosted by former Essendon champion Tim Watson.

Supporters were kept busy with a number of activities, including the AGL handball competition, the Puma boot fitting marquee, the AGL Treasure Hunt and the AGL Marquee where there were plenty of giveaways.

The highlight of the afternoon was the player’s guernsey presentation by coach Kevin Sheedy and crowd gaining some insight to the season ahead with the player interviews.

All the players where then kept busy signing hundreds of autographs for the Bomber fans.

And when it was too hot to stay in the sun, there was plenty of action happening inside at the Bomber Shop and the Hall of Fame. For the first time in the club’s history all 16 premiership cups were on display and many Essendon supporters took the opportunity to have their photo taken with the whole collection.

The biggest winner of the day was one lucky supporter who won the AGL Treasure Hunt and left Windy Hill with the ""money can’t buy prize"". The prize included: two tickets to the Round 6 v Brisbane Lions match at The Dome, dressing rooms passes for pre-match and post-match, a boundary line view to watch the team warm-up, a photo with Kevin Sheedy on the ground pre-match and be presented with an signed Essendon jumper.

AGL is the energy behind the Bombers and in early April they are launching an exciting new energy offer for Essendon supporters and family and friends. This offer includes savings off your gas and electricity bills, plus you receive an Essendon Winter Football pack valued at over $100 when you sign up.
