Essendon has passed its 2009 membership tally of 40,634 with less than a week remaining before the June 30 membership cut off.
The Bombers have exactly 40,700 paid up fans and are calling on all suporters to get on board this week and show their support.
Membership manager Melissa Chan said a 2010 membership is still great value with five homes games remaining including three Friday night blockbusters.
""Essendon has around one million fans and we are calling on our supporters to commit to being part of the club and become a paid up 2010 member,"" she said.
""In the next nine rounds we have five home games including huge Friday night clashes with St Kilda, Carlton and Collingwood and a Sunday afternoon clash with Brisbane.
""Membership is the life-blood of a club and need our fans to to turn their passion in action and become a member this year and every year.""
