Essendon defender David Myers has staked his claim for the team to take on the Brisbane Lions this week after an impressive performance for the Bendigo Bombers in the VFL on Saturday. Myers, who fractured his wrist in Essendon's five-point loss to the Sydney Swans in Round 2, was Bendigo's best player in its 66-point win over the Werribee Tigers.
