The reporting of Bomber players Matthew Lloyd and Jarrod Atkinson for engaging in rough conduct heads the club's involvement in this week's AFL News.
 
Lloyd, who was reported in the third quarter, and Atkinson, who was reported in the first quarter, now face an anxious wait to see if they can play in Friday night's final against the Crows.

Most Finals Umpired – Hayden Kennedy. If selected this week, Hayden will move to outright second on the all-time list of finals umpired. The current list is Jack Elder (39 finals), Hayden Kennedy (37 finals), Bryan Sheehan (37 finals), Darren Goldspink (37 finals), Brett Allen (37 finals), Ian Robinson (35 finals) and Rowan Sawers (33 finals).

Longest Premiership Drought – Western Bulldogs (Footscray). The Western Bulldogs’ current drought of 54 years without a premiership is the third-longest in the history of the game. The longest droughts are Sydney Swans /South Melbourne (71 years between 1934-2004), St Kilda (69 years between 1897-1965), Western Bulldogs / Footscray (54 years between 1955-2008), Fitzroy (51 years between 1945-96) and North Melbourne (50 years between 1925-74).

The final AFL attendance figure for the 2009 Toyota AFL Premiership Season was 6,370,350 fans, across the 176 home and away games. This represents the third best-year in AFL history, behind only 2008 and 2007. The leading seasons in history are:

In 2009, five separate matches drew a crowd of more than 80,000 (Rd1 Rich v Carl; Rd 5 Ess v Coll; Rd 8 Coll v Carl; Rd13 Ess v Carl and Rd 17 Carl v Coll), representing the first time this has happened in the history of the game. In both 1993 and 1995, four separate matches drew crowds of 80,000 or more. 1993 – Ess v Coll twice and Carl v Coll twice. 1995 – Carl v Rich / Ess v Coll / Carl v Coll and Carl v Ess.
