FINALS TICKETING INFORMATION Q & A
I’m a Essendon member. Do I still need to purchase a ticket for the finals?
Yes, you will need to purchase tickets should you wish to attend.
As a member of a club participating in the finals, you will receive priority access (prior to the general public) to purchase one ticket per membership card for any final in which the Essendon participates in weeks 1, 2 and 3.
Essendon members will receive a two-day priority access period for the opportunity to purchase tickets to the game before the general public.
This priority access period is also extended to the members of the other competing club.
Non-access members or members who purchased their membership after 30 June 2009 do not have access to purchase finals tickets via their Club membership. These members will not be able to purchase tickets until they are made available to the General Public.
When can I purchase tickets?
Tickets for finals played in Melbourne or Brisbane in Weeks 1, 2 & 3 will be made available to members of the competing Clubs on the Monday prior to the match at 9am EST. For a final at AAMI Stadium, tickets will go on-sale at 9.30am EST.
Should you wish to sit with anyone who is not a Essendon member or you hold a non-access membership, you will need to wait for tickets to go on-sale to the general public at 9am EST Wednesday prior to the game (9.30am EST for a final at AAMI Stadium.)
How many tickets can I purchase?
Generally, member access will be on a one for one basis (i.e. one membership can purchase one ticket) however this may increase depending upon the game and ticket availability.
Further ticketing information.
Members should check the relevant websites for outlet locations and check with their local outlet to confirm operating times.
Note: internet is not available for the Gabba or Sydney finals.
The AFL distributes an even number of Premium, Prime, Standard and Restricted/Standing Room tickets to both competing clubs for each final.
Essendon members will be allocated in blocks to sit with other Essendon members.
How are tickets sold?
Tickets will be sold on a first in, next best available basis and will be subject to availability.
Members are able to select their preferred price category for the first three (3) weeks of finals (Premium, Prime or Standard) but due to the demand for tickets, all ticket agents are advised to sell ‘next best available’ to make the allocation process fast and convenient for members.
Please note that payment for all finals tickets is strictly cash or credit card.
