Congratulations to Jason Johnson for winning the 2002 TAG Heuer Player ofthe Year competition. Johnson has continued his 2001 All Australian formwith another outstanding season in the mid-field. The 24-year-oldshouldered most of the workload in the mid-field this season in the absenceof Joe Misiti, James Hird and Damien Peverill with injury. Bomber fans will be happy with the news that Johnson will be calling WindyHill home for at least another two years after re-signing with the clubearlier this week. For the past two seasons, Johnson has led the Bombers inkicks and tackles and there is no question about his work ethic on thetraining track and during matches. He is a worthy winner of the TAG Heueraward and is the hot favourite to win the club's best and fairest award.

Johnson will be presented with the TAG Heuer Player of the Year award atthe forthcoming TAG Heuer Crichton medal. The popular function is beingheld at the Palladium Ballroom, Crown on Wednesday, October 2nd. Allplayers and coaches will be in attendance at the function which will honourthe outstanding playing achievements of the Bombers this season. Congratulations to Chris Brown from Mulgrave, who was the winner of the TAG Heuer Player of the Year competition. Chris has won two tickets to the TAG Heuer Crichton Medal and will present Jason Johnson with his award. Chris has also won for himself an $800 TAG Heuer merchandise pack.
