Sam Lonergan, Brent Prismall, Ricky Dyson and Kyle Reimers all remain un-contracted for next season following the finish to the Trade Period on Friday afternoon.
Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro said decisions on the future of the players would be made early in the week.
“There is a few guys that will be discussed when we meet on Monday morning and finalise our list,” Dodoro said.
“We will sit down and work out what we are going to do before those boys being told.”
Under the new player movement system delisted players automatically become free agents and are able to join the club of their choice.
Dodoro said the new system made it easier for experienced players to find a new home.
“There is a situation now of where if clubs do delist players they are free agents,” Dodoro said.
“The rules have changed a bit this year so there is still the possibility to acquire some players but having said that we are in a pretty good position going into the draft.”
Essendon has already delisted Brendan Lee, Anthony Long and Henry Slattery while veteran Mark McVeigh has retired.
