Important 2010 Season Launch Update
<DIV>
The 2010 Season launch is now just four days away but interested fans can still attend.
Due to damage to the Victory Room at Etihad Stadium - caused by last week’s violent storms - the club has been forced to change venues.
While we are disappointed by this last minute change, Essendon has been able to secure an excellent alternative at Hilton on the Park, 192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne and the spectacular show will go on.
All times remain the same and attendees will be provided directions from Essendon staff at the hotel reception area at the Hilton on the Park. Parking is available below the hotel and can be accessed at the main entrance on Wellington Parade, alternatively street parking is available.
The event will see the late Keith Forbes inducted into the Essendon Hall of Fame. Forbes is one of seven new 'members' that will be inducted into the club's Hall of Fame while two people, including Michael Long, will be inducted as club legends.
Essendon is seeking contact details for Keith's daughter Alison Mackenzie (nee Forbes). If you can help, email gmccaskie@essendonfc.com.au or call (03) 9230 0351.
Forbes played 152 games as a rover from 1928-37 and kicked 415 goals. He was Essendon's leading goalkicker in four seasons, won two best and fairest awards and captained the club in 1934 and 1935. He was named at No.16 in the Champions of Essendon (2002).
Essendon has obliterated any forward structure concerns in their 74-point win against Richmond at Morwell today. Fourteen individual goal scorers contributed to the victory, but it wasn’t only the Bombers’ offence that looked in good working order with the midfield and defensive units also combining well.
