All-time career goalkickers – Matthew Lloyd, Essendon. Matthew has kicked 911 goals since his debut in 1995. He needs four goals to draw level with Leigh Matthews, who currently sits at seventh position in the all-time history of the game. 500 official games – Terry Wallace. Terry is due to participate in his 500th official match as a player and coach this week, comprising 174 games as a player for Hawthorn, 11 games as a player for Richmond, 69 games as a player for the Western Bulldogs, 148 games as a coach for the Western Bulldogs and 97 games as a coach for Richmond. Mark Coughlan, Richmond, reported by umpire Jacob Mollison for making forceful contact from front-on against Jason Winderlich, Essendon, during the fourth quarter of the Round Nine match between Richmond and Essendon, played at the MCG on Saturday May 23, 2009.
AFL LONG-TERM INJURY LIST
The AFL wishes to advise the following changes have been made to club lists, under the provision of the AFL injury list rules.
Melbourne – Reinstated Mark Jamar to the senior list, after he had been on the long-term injury list.
Melbourne – Placed Colin Garland on the long-term injury list and upgraded Shane Valenti as his replacement.
Melbourne – Placed John Meesen on the long-term injury list and upgraded Jake Spencer as his replacement.
2009 NAB AFL Under 18s Championships
The 2009 NAB AFL Under Championships are now underway. Under the format that will apply this year, to allow for a greater exposure of elite young players, all teams will play five matches. Teams in Division One will play all three other Division One sides and two sides from Division Two. Teams in Division Two will play all three other Division Two sides and two sides from Division One.
