""There is pressure on for selection. We have probably got three or four we could bring in. We could put in Haynes or Cupido, but we won’t play Winderlich….he has a sore head,"" Sheedy said before training today.
Training was brought forward to 2pm today at Windy Hill and the players trained in the wet conditions for one hour. Sheedy repeated his sentiments from Monday about the team putting the Hawthorn game behind them. ""The players know the importance of the game coming up,"" he said.
""I want to get into the Brisbane game. I am not worried about the Hawthorn game from last week. We got the four points and picked up a bit of percentage and now we move on….I got over it (the match) as soon as the siren went.""
Sheedy said without doubt Brisbane and Essendon have formed a modern day rivalry in recent seasons and the Bombers have enormous respect for the reigning premiers. ""They have won three premierships in a row and they are still the team to beat.""
""Their midfield has been so good for so long. They are also a very experienced outfit. They probably have got more 100 game players than other team in the AFL. They get off to a good start and they belted the team in Port Power that gave us a hiding in Round 1.""
