Essendon father-son recruit Joe Daniher hasbeen named in the 2012 TAC Cup team of the year in recognition ofhis outstanding season for the Calder Cannons.
Daniher was named at full forward in theteam, alongside two Calder Cannons teammates.
Joe, the son of Anthony, will join theBombers next season under the father-son bidding system which is likely to seethe club part with their first round draft pick at the national draft.
The TAC Cup team of the year is chosen by aselection panel based on players performances in the TAC Cup throughout theseason as well as their form in the NAB AFL Under 18 Championships.
Calder Cannons regional manager Ian Kytehas previously stated Daniher could be one of the best players to ever come outof the TAC Cup in the 21 years of his involvement with the competition.
Daniher ha already earned All-Australian honours earlierthis year for his performances at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.
