Other Incidents Assessed:
Contact between Essendon’s Alwyn Davey and the Adelaide Crows’ Matthew Jaensch from the first quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. Jaensch jumps earlier than expected as Davey moves to protect his space under the ball and contact is made while Jaensch is in the air. It was the view of the panel that Davey’s action was not a deliberate attempt to run underneath his opponent, while he was in the air. No further action was taken.
Contact between the Gold Coast Suns’ Danny Stanley and Richmond’s Will Thursfield from the first quarter of Saturday’s match was assessed. Stanley and Thursfield are both contesting a loose ball when contact was made. Contact between West Coast’s Josh Kennedy and Fremantle’s Brett Peake from the third quarter of Saturday’s game was assessed. West Coast’s Nic Naitanui takes possession of the ball from a stoppage and begins running towards the West Coast goal. No further action was taken.
