Henneman collected 11 possessions at centre half back in the Bendigo Bombers’ win over Frankston last weekend. He also spent some time at centre half forward late in the game. While not dominating the match, Henneman moved well enough to convince selectors he is ready for a recall.
""That was his third game back from injury and he has moved better with each game,"" Bendigo Bombers coach Peter Banfield said. ""From the point of view of match fitness and confidence he is ready to return to senior football.""
""He has played mainly at centre half back in that time but I did switch him forward late in the game against Frankston. He worked very hard and kept the ball inside our forward 50m and was undoubtedly one of the reasons we won the game.""
It will be Henneman’s first game since Round 4 against Carlton. He was doing extremely well in the early stages of that game before a severely corked hip saw him spend the final three-quarters of that match and the next four weeks on the sidelines.
