After recovering from a serious knee injury, Brent Prismall was a valuable addition to the Bomber midfield in his first year at the club. He settled in well at Windy Hill and managed to make an impact in the 13 games he played.

The 23-year-old's season was rated as 7/10 by fans and he is expected to be one of the big improvers next year with a full pre-season under his belt.

Here's what some of the Essendon fans had to say:

The games he has played were great. His attack on the ball was great, his kicking efficiency was great and without a full pre-season. Looking forward to next season with Pris (Hardip Bassi)

A good effort to come back from a knee reconstruction and be a contributor. Still learning the Essendon style and took a while to adjust to the pace of the game. His games in 2009 will give him a good base to launch for 2010. Likely to be a very handy player through the midfield in 2010 (Rod Ansell)

A brilliant addition to the Essendon line up, imagine the season he'll have next year with a full pre-season behind him. Easily Essendon's best trade pickup in years (Matt Milburn)

Use of the football was sensational in early games - seemed to struggle with fitness towards the final few games, a good pre-season should see him elevate his overall games and gut running (Ross Hutton)

AVG disposals makes me smile. imagine Priz fully fit playing all 22. Surround him in the centre with Hille and Paddy, Stanton, Watson, Dyson and Winderlich. Good combination of height, ball-getting, blistering speed and skillz. Get excited Bomber fans, Priz completes a very exciting, young fresh midfield. Great to have you on board Brent, welcome to Bomberland (Brad Clark)

Not a bad return to AFL. Brent works hard but he initiates far too many 'ring a rosie' handball exchanges on the half-back line, often leading to free kicks and goals to the opposition. Decision making and disposal must improve (Bill Griffiths)

Considering the knee injury he had last year, he did extremley well just to even play this year, let alone perform like he did. Pris showed how valuable he is just going to be in our team for the future and will only get better. Smart player, good skills and tough which is why is he a good player (Ben Riley)

Very very impressed with him, he is already my favorite player. Considering he came of a bad ACL injury and into a new club he had a great finish to the year. Has loads of talent and will be a very important part of our midfield in a few years (Peter Bonfa)

It was a massive effort by Prismall to come back like he has after his injury and he's had a great impact on the team. One thing I feel Brent needs to do is play on and run more to better suit the team game-plan (Brad Clark)

Coming of a serious knee injury, 09 was a success for Prissa. another Bomber that can finally have a full pre-season that will put him in good stead for 2010. His poise and efficency showed why geelong were so desperate to hold on to him. Bring on 2010 (Michael Pringle)
