Essendon defender Michael Hibberd is set to continue his return to football this weekend as Bendigo take on Box Hill this Saturday 2pm at Box Hill City Oval.

Hibberd will play his second game at VFL level on Saturday and along with big man David Hille will be looking to stake claims for senior selection in round 13 against Fremantle.

Scott Gumbleton will once again play a key role in the forward line for Bendigo where he has starred since making his long awaited return from injury.

After an indifferent start to season 2012, Bendigo has been in fine form of late and has won three games on the trot including a 79 point drubbing of Coburg last week.

Young excitement machine Aerial Steinberg showed his prowess, while Elliot Kavanagh, Kyle Reimers and Travis Colyer all put in solid performances in the victory over Coburg.

But with only percentage separating eighth placed Bendigo and fifth placed Box Hill, Bendigo Coach Hayden Skipworth will be keen to continue their climb up the table and break into the top four.

Similarly, Box Hill have hit some good form off the back of an 81 point thrashing of North Ballarat and a epic come from behind victory over Williamstown last week.

Box Hill will undoubtedly be a tough nut to crack at home, but with both teams hitting their straps at the right time of the season, Saturday’s game is shaping to be season defining for both clubs.
