Essendon captain Jobe Watson has proven his fitness at training this morning and been named as one of four changes to Essendon’s side to take on Collingwood on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.

Watson has missed just a month of football with a broken collarbone but will return to lead his side in the blockbuster against the Magpies.

The Bombers will also be bolstered by the return of veteran Dustin Fletcher who is back after missing last round with a back complaint.

Tayte Pears, Ben Howlett and Joe Daniher will all play for the VFL team against Sandringham on Saturday as will Stewart Crameri as he returns from an ankle injury.

Michael Hurley will also miss with an ankle injury.

Kyle Hardingham has been named for his first match since Round 7 against Geelong after strong form in the VFL over the last two months.

Scott Gumbleton also returns to the team after a five-goal haul in the VFL last weekend where he also displayed strong contested marking ability.
