Young gun Andrew McGrath has earned a perfect 10 in the AFL Coaches Association's AFL Champion Player Award for his best-on-ground performance against Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval on Thursday.

The 22-year-old was a force to be reckoned with in the 16-point win, gathering 32 disposals and leading all comers for clearances (10) and contested possessions (16).

It's the 10th game this season in which McGrath has polled votes, seeing him move into equal 11th position overall ahead of the round's remaining games this weekend.

He trails Zach Merrett as the Bombers' clubhouse leader, with the reigning Crichton medallist earning eight votes against Hawthorn to move into equal sixth position overall.

Joe Daniher's (three goals, 10 marks) incredible comeback was capped off with four AFLCA votes, while Kyle Langford (one vote) rounded out the Bombers' contingent.
