Essendon premiership player Adam Ramanauskas will have an operation to remove a lump from his upper body tomorrow. As a result he will miss this weekend's match against the Western Bulldogs. Ramanauskas’s omission from the Round 4 match means that there will be at least three selection changes made this week with Sean Wellman and Joe Misiti also both unavailable.

As reported first on the BomberLand website, Wellman had surgery yesterday to repair damage to his dislocated finger and will miss this week. Misiti strained his buttocks early in the match against Carlton and has also been ruled out of selection for the Western Bulldogs match. With both Paul Barnard and Matthew Lloyd scheduled to face the AFL Tribunal tonight, there could possibly be five changes made to the team that lost to Carlton last Friday night by 11-points.
