Essendon youngster, Michael Hurley, will miss most, if not all, of the NAB Cup competition after undergoing surgery to remove his gall bladder yesterday (Friday).
 
A series of tests revealed Hurley had a non-functional gall bladder and it was removed through key-hole surgery.
 
The 18-year-old is expected to be fully recovered within four weeks.
