Essendon finally had some good news this week with full forward Matthew Lloyd cleared of a striking charge tonight. The charge was laid against Lloyd after the video of Friday night's match against Carlton was reviewed yesterday, but the tribunal cleared him of any wrong doing. With a number of injured players to miss this week's match against the Western Bulldogs, this news was warmly welcomed by the club. But the Bombers will be without Paul Barnard for one week, after he pleaded guilty to striking Simon Wiggins in the Round 3 match.
