Essendon selectors have included seven new names in the squad of 25 named to take on Hawthorn at the MCG this Sunday, dumping four from the team that went down to Carlton. Matthew Lloyd, Jason Laycock and Dean Rioli are the three big inclusions along with recently promoted rookie Andrew Lovett who looks set to make his AFL debut. Damian Cupido the most notable casualty.

Other inclusions for the Bombers are Ted Richards, Brent Stanton and Marc Bullen. Joining Cupido in the VFL match against Box Hill this Saturday will be Jason Winderlich, Mark Alvey and Nathan Lovett-Murray.
