Jobe Watson, Brent Stanton andDustin Fletcher are this year’s Essendon nominations for the AFLPA MostValuable Player Award.

Watson has had a stellar season and is expectedto factor high in the voting for the Leigh Matthew Trophy, seen among theplaying group as one of the highest honours in the game.

Each player votes for three teammates heconsiders to be the most valuable for the season with the votes tallied tocomprise a list of 54 nominees from the 18 teams.

In the second round of voting all playersvote for their MVP on a 3-2-1 basis from the nominees before the votes aretallied and whoever has the most votes being named the MVP.

Hard working midfielder Ben Howlett hasbeen nominated for the Robert Rose Most Courageous Award and rookie MarkBaguley the Best First Year Player Award.

Watson has also been nominated for the BestCaptain Award.

The 2012 AFL Players Association MVP awardwinners will be announced on Tuesday 11 September.
