The Bendigo Bombers are on the hunt for experienced, talented recruits according to new coach Shannon Grant.
Speaking exclusively to Bomber.tv, Grant said he wants to create a successful environment but needs a few more seniors players to help achieve that.
""We need to compliment the AFL list. Essendon has a very young list and we need to recruit a couple of experienced, older players to help mentor those younger kids and guide them through the VFL level. It will be a great help to us,"" he said.
""I am enjoying it (the coaching role). It's only been a couple of weeks and I have enjoyed getting around to meet the players and coaches.""
""I will be at a lot of the Essendon training sessions taking in as much as I can off Matthew (Knights) and hopefully I can implement that in the VFL,"" he said.
""I need to get to understand the Essendon game style so I can pass it on. I will get up there (Bendigo) as often as I can to make sure both programs are running well and as smoothly as we can.""
Grant rates developing young players as his strength and says he is looking forward to seeing the new players Essendon recruits at the NAB National Draft on November 26th.
