Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy has been honored yet again for his efforts in guiding the Bombers through a record-breaking 2000.

Sheedy has won the Australian Sports Commission Domestic League Coach of the Year. The announcement was made in the Australian newspaper.

Sheedy beat an outstanding field to claim the award. Other nominees included Joyce Brown (netball), Ange Postecoglou (soccer), Eddie Jones (Rugby Union / ACT Brumbies) and Wayne Bennett (Brisbane Broncos).
