In an horrific night for the Essendon Football Club, the Bombers have put in their worst performance of the year, crushed by 88 points at the hands of Adelaide at AAMI Stadium. With so much on the line, the shattering loss may well have disastrous consequences on the club’s season, as the Bombers fall further away from this year’s top-eight contenders.
Essendon could load up its forward line against the Crows tomorrow night and play catch-us-if-you-can style football. The Bombers had 12 individual goal-kickers and kicked a match-winning 21 goals against the Western Bulldogs last weekend. It will be much tougher against what is statistically one of the best defences in the competition but it might be the Bombers best chance of walking away with the four points.
