Electric razors and coloured hair spray came out at Windy Hill this morning as the Bombers got behind the Leukaemia Foundation to support the World's Greatest Shave to Care and Cure. Eight-year-old Abdullah Al-Azzaw, a former Leukaemia sufferer now in remission, was the guest of honour at Windy Hill, getting the proceedings started by taking the first locks of Damien Peverill.

Along with Peverill, Ricky Dyson and Jobe Watson also lead the way, having their precious heads shaved, while Matthew Lloyd, Scott Lucas, Jason Johnson, Adam Ramanauskas, Aaron Henneman and Mark McVeigh erred on the side of caution sticking to the colours.

In total, over 20 of the playing list were involved in the mornings events, either having their head shaved or coloured to promote the event on March 10-12. The shave is one of Australia's biggest fundraising events, and in six years, has raised in excess of $38 million for patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.

It is expected that 60,000 people across the country will pledge to shave or colour their hair for the event. For more information visit www.worldsgreatestshave.com.au.
