The Essendon Football Club has proudly partnered with RMIT University (RTO: 3046) to deliver the Essendon Education Academy (EEA), a nationally recognised education program designed to prepare students for meaningful careers in sport, business and leadership.

Co-designed by RMIT and Essendon Football Club and delivered on site at TheNEC Hangar in Tullamarine, the EEA offers students the opportunity to complete a Dual Diploma of Business (BSB50120) and Leadership & Management (BSB50420) while being embedded within a high-performance sporting environment. The program combines in-person learning delivered by RMIT educators with hands-on industry placement experiences across the Club, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world settings from day one.

Students benefit from direct exposure to elite sporting operations, access to professional networks, and tailored career development support, alongside a structured Football Development program coached by AFL Legend, Dustin Fletcher, that promotes wellbeing, teamwork and leadership. In addition to the Club offering two graduate positions at the end of year calendar year, graduates also have the opportunity to articulate into the second year of the Bachelor of Business at RMIT University upon completion, providing a clear and supported pathway into higher education.

By blending education, industry experience and personal development, the Essendon Education Academy equips students with the skills, confidence and connections needed to succeed, both within the sporting industry and beyond.
