Essendon young gun, Kyle Reimers, has accepted a $1950 sanction for making negligent contact with umpire Michael Avon during the fourth quarter of the Round 8 match with Sydney, played at ANZ Stadium on Sunday May 18, 2008.
 
The AFL today advised the Tribunal will sit tonight at 5pm, Tuesday May 20, after Port Adelaide's Shaun Burgoyne and Hawthorn's Ben McGlynn chose to contest the charges laid against them by the Match Review Panel from the weekend's round of matches. The charges will be heard in the order listed below. Please also find detailed those sanctions accepted.

Shaun Burgoyne, Port Adelaide, has been charged with a Level Three engaging in rough conduct offence against Sam Mitchell, Hawthorn, during the first quarter of the Round Eight match between Port Adelaide and Hawthorn, played at Aurora Stadium on Saturday May 17, 2008.

The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), high impact (three points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has 93.75 points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 418.75 points and a four-match sanction.

Ben McGlynn, Hawthorn, has been charged with a Level Three engaging in rough conduct offence against Kane Cornes, Port Adelaide, during the first quarter of the Round Eight match between Hawthorn and Port Adelaide, played at Aurora Stadium on Saturday May 17, 2008.

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), medium impact (two points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has 93.75 points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 418.75 points and a four-match sanction.

Shane Crawford, Hawthorn, has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Dean Brogan, Port Adelaide, during the third quarter of the Round Eight match between Hawthorn and Port Adelaide, played at Aurora Stadium on Saturday May 17, 2008.

Matt Rosa, West Coast, has accepted a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record for striking Matt Campbell, North Melbourne, during the third quarter of the Round Eight match between West Coast and North Melbourne, played at Carrara on Saturday May 17, 2008.
