Essendon midfielder Brent Prismall says the Bombers are making significant steps forward as they look to improve ahead of the 2011 season.

Prismall experienced his second Essendon pre-season last year after previously spending three years at Geelong, and has rated this year’s pre-season as one of his toughest.

“It has been up there with some of the more solid pre-seasons. I have just been taking each day as it comes and doing my recovery right so that I am fresh for every day going into training,” Prismall told Bomber.tv.

Prismall again set the pace at the team’s tan session on Saturday morning, with Brent Stanton, Stewart Crameri and Angus Monfries also running well.

“It was a solid session, the boys are moving well and we are starting to make some real gains in the running so overall it has been good,” Prismall said.

“Stewart Crameri was moving really well, Brent Stanton and Angus Monfries were also running well.

“We have got a lot of players who have made some significant strides forward so hopefully it will be a really exciting year ahead.”
