The 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership season is finally here.

Essendon's back at the 'G to take on the Cats in the Powercor Country Festival game, and the club can't wait to see its members and fans pack the stands to cheer on the red and black.

Ahead of Saturday, the Essendon membership team has put together its top tips for Dons members to ensure a smooth attendance for rd 1's games.

EFC member top tips

  1. Your Mobile Membership via the Essendon App is your ticket to the game. If you haven’t received your commemorative member card for this season yet, they are on the way, but remember they are only a memento and do not provide access to games. All the information you need to access your Mobile Membership can be found here.
  2. For our members with general admission away access, scan ins are back! On Saturday, you can scan straight into the 'G via Gates 1, 3, 4 or 5 and sit in any of the designated General Admission areas around the stadium. There will be General Admission areas located on Level 1, Level 2A and Level 4, with friendly MCC staff directing you as you enter the gates. Please disregard the “Section, Row and Seat” information displayed at the top of your ticket, this is information used to provide you access to General Admission areas, not a specific seat.
  3. Need a hand at the game? You can find the Essendon Member Services team located outside Gates 3 and 5 from 12:30pm.
  4. Not getting to the game on Saturday? Not to worry! Although a ticket will show in your mobile membership, you will only use one of your game entitlements if you scan in. For example, a Flexi 8 member who doesn’t attend round one will still have eight of the biggest and best games of the season they can attend.
  5. Be there early. The Bombers are back at the 'G and you don’t want to miss a moment, so leave yourself plenty of time to get into the ground and be in your seat before the Bombers run out. Plus, the Powercor Country Festival will be in full swing on Saturday so that is another reason to get along early and enjoy the atmosphere ahead of the big clash against the Cats.
  6. There will be no public parking at the MCG. Parking is only available for disability permit holders.
  7. Show your passion with a huge of range of 150th year merchandise available outside Gates 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 as well as inside gates 1, 2, 5 and the MCG Shop. And don’t forget, 2022 members receive 10 per cent off all merchandise so there is no better time to grab a guernsey or bag yourself a beanie.
