The AFL website reports Essendon is one of three club's in the race for Gold Coast midfielder Josh Toy who has signalled his intentions to return home to Victoria to be closer to his family.
The Herald Sun reports defender Cale Hooker may be involved in a three way deal involving West Coast and St. Kilda which could see him land at the Saints.

The AFL website reports Essendon may still be in the hunt to secure Ben Jacbos from Port Adelaide if a deal can not be reached between the Power and North Melbourne.

West Coast list manager Craig Vozzo tells Trade Radio the Bombers are one of three clubs to have shown strong interest in midfielder Koby Stevens.

The Herald Sun reports the Bombers have joined the race to secure unrestricted free agent Clinton Young from Hawthorn.
The AFL website reports Essendon has shown interest in Gold Coast ruckman Tom Hickey who has requested to return to Melbourne.

The Herald Sun reports up to eight clubs have shown interest in contracted key defender Tayte Pears but the Bombers are not interested in moving him on.
The Herald Sun also reports the Dons may deal with Scott Gumbleton to the Bulldogs if the Dogs fail to get Chris Dawes.
Gumbleton has undergone a medical test by Fremantle who could still try to recruit him through the pre-season draft. It is also reported Melbourne has shown interest in Gumbleton.

Essendon is set to tackle Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs in an exciting triple-header to kick off the 2013 NAB Cup on Friday February 15. Under the triangular Round One format the trio will go head to head in three short form matches beginning from 6.45pm at Etihad Stadium.
