Essendon's VFL team has named its side to face Box Hill in Sunday's third and final practice match.

The 10am first bounce at The NEC Hangar will see 11 AFL-listed players lineup for the Bombers.

Second-year midfielder Ben Hobbs will see his first competitive match minutes of 2023 in his comeback game from a calf injury.

AFL round one emergencies Will Snelling and Kaine Baldwin have been selected to play in the practice match, while newly-announced VFL Captain Billy Cootee will suit up as the side's leader for the first time.
