In the 28th Anzac Day clash, the Essendon Football Club will honour service men and women who have fought for their country with a specially designed Anzac Day guernsey. The Bombers’ iconic red sash will comprise of red poppies, the commemorative flower of remembrance which is used on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day. 

Red poppies were one of the first plants to re-grow across the battlefields of Northern France and Belgium following the First World War. The poppies are a universal representation of those who lost their lives or suffered in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

The poppies on the Bombers’ guernsey will honour the 233-known Essendon players who have served for our country, including the 20-known players who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A reminder that Anzac Day is a fully ticketed event with NO GENERAL ADMISSION available.  

All members without away reserved seats must have upgraded to a seat through Ticketek and use the ticket in your Ticketek account to get into the ground. 

For all members with away reserved seats have two ways to access the game. Your physical membership card has a barcode that will allow you to scan entry at the turnstiles. If you are yet to receive your card or prefer the convenience of using your mobile device, simply log in to the official Essendon app using your membership details to access your mobile membership. 2023 ANZAC Day Match Worn Guernsey Auction 
You have the chance to own a piece of history with the match-worn guernsey’s available for auction following the game. Each authentic match-worn guernsey is displayed in a special presentation box and will be signed by the player who wore it on the day. 

All proceeds from the auction are donated to the ANZAC Appeal, and each guernsey officially licensed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

GETTING THERE AND ENTRY TO THE GROUND 
There will be limited parking at the ‘G on Tuesday, with only accredited pass-holders and disability permit holders having access to the carpark, so we recommend looking at alternative transportation methods. The stadium is only a short walk from both Jolimont and Richmond Stations.  

For those that do have parking access, the following gates will be open. Gate 7 from 9am, Gate 3 from 10:30 and Gate 5 from 11:30.
