McVeigh's dream to captain the Bombers
<DIV>
Essendon veteran Mark McVeigh set the tone at today's 2010 membership launch, telling of his passion for the Bombers and saying Essendon is the only club he ever wants to play for.
The 28-year-old also told media he has a dream to captain the club but admitted there are a number of players who could do the job.
""We would all love to be captain of the club and it is a dream of mine but there are three or four other guys that would do it comfortably,"" he said.
""Whoever it is will have a good support group behind them. It would be a huge honour but there are others that could do it.""

As part of today's membership launch the club unveiled an emotive viral campaign that will be sent to around 100,000 fans. Watch the membership clip by clicking here.
McVeigh made mention of the recent departure of Adam McPhee saying the club only wants players that are desperate to be here.
""With the two-year deal that was offered to him we felt he had a lot of footy to offer us but he decided to move on and we wish him luck and he is now the enemy and that is the way it is,"" he said.
""It was a surprise and we would have liked to have known earlier so we could get something for him. Players spoke to him but these things come down to Adam and his management making a decision.""
McVeigh said the playing group was extremely committed and he had a simple message for the young list.
""If you do the right thing by the footy club, be loyal and embrace what we are trying to do, things take care of themself,"" he said.
""Knighta has been terrifc towards us (senior players) in terms of encouraging us to keep going, to keep flourishing in our careers and embrace the youth that is coming through and that helps us.
""We are here on borrowed time, we borrow our lockers that we sit in, we borrow our numbers that we wear and what we need to do while we are here is the best we can. I would love to finish my career here and I am happy to be part of it. We all are.""
Paddy Ryder, Tayte Pears, Matthew Knights and Ian Robson also spoke at the launch and can be seen on Bomber.tv from 2pm.
