General manager football operations Paul Hamilton said it was exciting to see Winderlich return for just his second game in twelve months.
“Jason hasn’t really played at all this year so he will play his first game back through the VFL,” Hamilton told The Recovery Room bought to you by Body Ice.
“That is really exciting news as he is a player that can really add something to our team.”
The 27 year old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament early last season and has suffered complications in his recovery process but will line up for Bendigo in their match against North Ballarat on Sunday.
Defender Tatye Pears who has missed three weeks with knee soreness will also line up in the clash against North Ballarat at Eureka Stadium.
In more good news for the Bombers veteran Mark McVeigh is just a week away from gettign back out on the field.
“It has been a longer rehab period for Mark, he will miss this week but be available for the week after,” Hamilton said.
“He has had his injury problems but they are really trying to build up his fitness base again to make sure that when he does come back he is ready to play and perform.”
Essendon forward Stewart Crameri will miss the next fortnight after the club decided to accept the early guilty plea for his bump on Western Bulldog Dylan Addison during the second quarter of last Saturday nights match. General Manager of Football Operations Paul Hamilton said after reviewing the footage and receiving advice from the club’s legal department a decision was made not to contest the charge.
