Essendon has named five inclusions for its final match of the 2023 season against Collingwood.

Headlining a list of inclusions is inside midfielder Will Setterfield, who will return for his first game since round nine after starring in his two comeback VFL matches from a foot injury.

Two key talls have been named in Kaine Baldwin, who regains his spot after featuring in round 22 against North Melbourne, and Sam Weideman, who's been named as a forward to play his first match since round 18.

Ruckman Nick Bryan will also return to the side, with small forward Will Snelling rounding out the list of inclusions.

Despite being named as an emergency, Senior Coach Brad Scott confirmed the retiring Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti will play a farewell game, most likely as the Bombers' sub.

The Bombers have six outs due to injury, with Sam Draper, Jake Stringer, Peter Wright, Jye Caldwell, Jake Kelly and Matt Guelfi coming out of the best 22.

Friday night's clash with the Pies will be the last chance Essendon fans will get to see the retiring McDonald-Tipungwuti and stalwart Andrew Phillips.
