Essendon will be without Justin Murphy for this weekend's clash with Brisbane after the AFL tribunal tonight found him guilty of head-butting Hawthorn's Simon Beaumont during last Saturday's third-quarter all-in brawl. Essendon will not appeal the tribunal's decision.

While the Bombers will be without Murphy, Hawthorn paid a far heavier price for its involvement in Saturday's brawl having four players banned for a total of 15 matches.

Richard Vandenberg was suspended for six matches after being found guilty of striking and kneeing Adam McPhee. Lance Picioane copped a four-match ban after also being found guilty of striking McPhee.

Campbell Brown was suspended for four matches after being found guilty of striking youngster Jason Winderlich.

Earlier in the night, John Barker was cleared of striking McPhee in the first quarter of the game.
