Essendon's VFLW side take home the points after defeating Darebin.
Essendon VFLW have won their first match of 2024, taking down Darebin in Saturday's round three clash.
The game got off to an even start with the Bombers holding a six point advantage at quarter time.
Essendon built on their lead in the second quarter with captain Eloise Chasten kicking the only major of the term.
The second half was all Essendon with goals from Olivia Manfre and Tia Davidge.
Ruck, Steph Wales was solid all day, finishing with 25 touches and 19 hit-outs. Ruby Mahoney lead all possession getters with 26 touches and 4 tackles.
The Bombers will face off against the Bulldogs at the Mission Whitten Oval next Saturday, with the first bounce at 11:00am AEDT.
