Essendon has named its side to take on the Dogs under the roof on Friday night.

Saad El-Hawli has been recalled for his first senior game since round 10, following an injury setback and some terrific form in the VFL over the past month. The Bombers will also regain key forward Nate Caddy after being managed due to soreness last week.

Todd Goldstein will take ruck duties at the expense of Vigo Visentini this week, with Archie May also set to make way.

Xavier Duursma will miss Friday night's game due to soreness.
