Brooke Sheridan’s wait for an AFLW debut is over.
The 21-year-old will line up to take on the Swans in Coffs Harbour this Saturday for the Club’s final game of the 2025 campaign, her first appearance at the highest level since joining the list as a replacement player ahead of last season.
After missing her 2022 draft year with an ill-timed ACL injury, Sheridan was initially picked up by Brisbane to finalise their AFLW list the following season and would eventually find her feet with North Melbourne in the VFLW, opening up an opportunity with the Dons.
A natural ball user with the capability to impact team attack, the versatile 170cm Don has been patient in recent years despite her setbacks, eager to represent the Bombers at Senior level.
Sheridan spoke of her gratitude and excitement to be making her debut for the Dons this weekend.
“I couldn’t be more excited - words can’t even begin to describe this feeling,” Sheridan said.
"Ever since I first picked up a football at four years old, this has been the dream. The journey’s been long and challenging at times, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
"I love the playing group and the constant support they have shown me along the way. I can’t wait to pull on the jumper on Saturday and make it all count.”
The Dons take on the Swans from 5:05pm AEDT at C.ex Coffs International Stadium on Saturday.
