Essendon have announced their 11th debutant for the 2025 AFLW season, with current train-on player and former Western Bulldog, Bailey Hunt selected to play in place of injured midfielder Madison Prespakis against Sydney this weekend.

Prespakis has been ruled out with a calf injury, unable to get through today's Captain's Run session.

A 50-game premiership player with the Bulldogs, Hunt brings valuable experience to the Bombers side.

No stranger to the red and black, Hunt has represented Essendon in its VFLW program in 2024, featuring in 15 games.

Her most recent professional stint came earlier this year with South Fremantle in the WAFLW.

Having been closely involved with the Bombers’ AFLW program throughout 2025 as a train-on player, Hunt now gets her opportunity to officially don the sash at AFLW level.

The Dons take on the Swans from 5:05pm AEDT at C.ex Coffs International Stadium on Saturday.
