Sullivan Robey has been voted by Essendon fans as Liberty's Player of the Month for Rounds 10-13 after a terrific run of form.

In just his first season, the 18-year-old has already established himself as a focal point in the Bombers' midfield unit, taking the fight up to superstars of the competition such as Paddy Cripps, Harley Reid and Andrew Brayshaw in enticing one-on-one matchups over the past five weeks of action.

Last year's pick No.9 has averaged 20 disposals and five clearances per game since round 10 - among his career-high of 23 touches against Richmond in Dreamtime at the 'G, a whopping 16 were contested, highlighting his prowess as an inside midfielder.

Against the Eagles on the road, Robey led all comers with nine total clearances as the Dons' most combative on-baller, laying six tackles and throwing his weight around in the engine room.

Robey's also shown proficiency forward of centre, hitting the scoreboard five times to date in his nine-game stint.

Paired alongside fellow draftee Jacob Farrow and with midfield running mate Dyson Sharp due for a return from injury, the Bombers' young core have shown some promising signs to this point in the season, with Robey establishing himself as one of the competition's best first-year players.

Robey joins Archie Roberts (dual) as winners of the three Liberty Player of the Month awards so far this season, putting himself in the running for the award at year's end.
