Caddy on... the bye break

It's been a really good time to get a break and reset for the year ahead.

I think we've got a lot to prove in the back end of the year, so it was good to get away and reset.

Hopefully, we can take that into the second half and start winning some games.

Caddy on... turning the season around

Solly’s obviously asking a lot of us.

We haven't had a good year to date, but it's about how we can take some strides to really turn our season around and how we can do that.

It's about how we can build some momentum leading into next year and beyond, bringing this core group up, setting standards and making sure we're all trying to get better.

We're just working through that and what that looks like, but I've been pretty happy with how we're going.

Caddy on... Dean Solomon's influence

He's been really clear that it's not an easy fix.

It's not going to happen straight away like it has at Carlton.

We had some deeper issues that we have to work through with our game plan and just how we move the ball.

I think now we're all clear. We all kind of know what we're doing, and I think Solly's gotten that across really well with some new ways of talking to each other and opening up new conversations.

Caddy on... leading the forward line

It's what I want to do.

I want to be that forward and I don't want to be anything else. As long as I'm out on the park, I'm going to give the exact same every time.

I've had a bit more responsibility maybe, but that's what I want. I want the responsibility of being that forward.

Caddy on... the challenges of being a young key forward

It's obviously hard as a third-year player, playing on all the key defenders most weeks.

There's obviously going to be ups and downs in form and stuff, but that's how I've got to respond.

My form in the last couple of weeks hasn't been as good as I'd want it to be.

Hopefully, the bye gives me a chance to reset and find some of the form that I had earlier in the year.

Caddy on... getting senior players back

You want your senior players playing every week and it's been unfortunate they haven't been able to.

It's going to give us some real confidence.

They're going to come in fresh as well. They've had weeks to get their bodies right and have a really big second half of the year.

I'm really excited for what's ahead and I think we can really attack the back end of the year.

Caddy on... North Melbourne

The main thing that's always been going through our minds is just playing our game and not being dictated to.

We're going to challenge them and put them in spots they don't want to be in.

We've just got to make sure we're holding up our end of the bargain, and that's when we'll look our best, I think.
